Question: My York has started to lose weight, right now she is a 200 lbs and her show is in 3 weeks. I am feeding her the Show Chow finisher and the grower push (cannot remember exactly the name but it has 20% Payleen) well any way, it comes in a bucket and is also from the Show Chow brand. What else can I give her in order to gain the weight she needs. I have been told it is because she is in heat, that is the reason for her losing the weight and appetite.

The HONOR Show Chow Showpig Finisher is a great feed with a high energy content. If you are feeding our High Octane Paylean Premix, the feeding rate for that product is 2 ounces per day along with the Finisher.

I am not sure what you meant by 20% Paylean. But, the feeding rate for our Paylean product is 2 ounces per day.

Energy will help speed up growth. I suggest adding our High Octane Power Fuel at 1 lb per day to increase the energy content of your pigs total diet.

When gilts come into estrus, it can affect appetite and growth rate. When she is out of heat, she should begin eating well once again.
