Paula: Muscle Gain

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Question: We have some goats that we will be showing 4 to 6 weeks. While they are at the weight that we want them, they need some muscle. We are maintaining their weight at this point, so how much Champion Drive should we be feeding them to increase muscle? We are currently feeding Intimidator, about 1 pound per day with hay. We did not know if we kept at the suggested amount on the bag since we were not feeding the 5 pounds per day as quoted.

Answer: Paula,

Thank you for your email and for choosing HONOR Show Chow show goat products.

The feeding rate for High Octane Champion Drive in goats is 8 ounces per day. You can feed more, up to 1 lbs per day.

NTimidator is a complete feed (all the roughage the goat needs is in the pellet). I say that because too much hay will cause the goat to have a belly or large middle. The Champion Drive will help with muscle development.

Thanks again,
